Let’s talk about how even the most talented stylists sometimes need help styling… their brands!
When Asma Parvez of Styled By Asma landed in my inbox, I knew this was going to be something special. Here was this incredible stylist who was absolutely crushing it—helping ambitious women transform their wardrobes and step into their authentic style with total confidence (obsessed!).
And let me tell you about her background real quick because I’m still fangirling… We’re talking collaborations with CHANEL (yes, that Chanel! 🤩), years of expertise at Stitch Fix, AND she’s literally been recognized in academic studies and graduate theses as one of the first hijabi fashion bloggers in the US.
Like, how freaking cool is she?!
But here’s the thing—her brand? Its “lack of cohesiveness was giving me hives.”
(Her words, not mine 👀)
She needed something that could match the absolutely incredible, personalized experience she was creating for her clients AND support her journey from renowned stylist into industry thought leader.
So here’s how we did it:
First, can we geek out about something for a sec?
I’m OBSESSED with how finding your personal style is basically identical to building your personal brand!
Think about it—just like each of Asma’s clients needs a wardrobe that feels 100% them, she needed a brand that captured her amazing expertise. Both journeys are all about getting real with who you are, knowing your core values, and showing up in a way that makes your people feel seen.
(Quick side note for my stylist friends—this is especially true for you! )
Your brand should work just as hard as you do when transforming your clients’ lives with your styling services. Just like you help them find their signature style, your brand needs to show off your unique approach while attracting those dream clients. AKA, your brand should also have a signature style 😉
It’s all about finding that perfect sweet spot between your styling expertise and the confident, authentic feeling you create for your clients.

Now, let’s talk about what made this project extra special—Asma’s brand story.
As one of the first hijabi fashion bloggers in the US, years of styling experience under her belt, and this absolutely incredible brand story just waiting to be told, she needed a visual brand identity to match.
But here’s what really got me excited—Asma’s dedication to serving Muslim women isn’t just some business strategy. It’s literally woven into everything she does. It’s her WHY. (And let’s be real, the styling world has been seriously sleeping on this community for waaay too long!)
Because here’s the thing about branding that people sometimes forget—it’s not just about making things look pretty (though trust me, we did that too 💅). It’s about how it feels, how it moves, and most importantly, how it helps you connect with your people.
So, for Asma, this meant creating a high-end “brand wardrobe” (cute name, right?) that would speak directly to her Muslim clients while still feeling super welcoming to any woman ready to step into her authentic style.
Okay, this is where things got really fun! 🎨
You know that feeling when everything just clicks? That’s exactly what happened when we matched up Asma’s personal style words (effortless, soft modern, and bold) with her core values (integrity, authenticity, and trustworthiness).
It was like… chef’s kiss
And btw, if you’re sitting there wondering how to figure out your own brand words, I’ve got you! Hop over to this blog where I break down the whole process.
This marriage between her personal style and core values became our foundation for creating a brand that would:
The mood board wasn’t just about finding pretty pictures (although let’s be honest, we love that too!). It was about hitting that sweet spot where Asma’s personal style meets her core values.
We’re talking deep maroons and soft blush tones mixed with neutrals that just scream elevated-but-welcoming vibes.
And you better believe we made sure to include gorgeous imagery of Muslim women, modest fashion inspo, touches of Islamic architecture, and lifestyle shots that would make her community feel seen while being warm and inviting to everyone. Every single image had to nail that effortless-soft-modern-bold trifecta while staying true to her values.
Asma wanted something special for her logo—that perfect balance between masculine and feminine energy (and omg, did we deliver!).
We mixed a bold serif font with this gorgeous script and clean sans serif to create something that feels luxe but totally approachable—just like Asma herself!
And I say “we” because I always include my clients in every decision we make throughout the process. It’s a 100% a team effort because after all, it’s YOUR brand!
The circular icon with ‘byA’? That’s not just pretty packaging. Iit symbolizes Asma’s role as a unifying force in her clients’ lives, representing the connection and cohesion she brings to each styling session.
Everything we picked had a purpose (because your girl loves strategy 😉):
Confession time—mockups are my absolute fave part of the entire branding process! It’s when you really get to see how everything’s gonna look in real life, like:
I’m gonna let Asma take this one: “I was absolutely blown away by the work Lorin did for me. From the fonts to the colors, the branding is simply impeccable. She truly understood my vision, delivering far more than I could have ever anticipated.”
We took her brand from feeling kinda meh to totally elevated—luxurious but grounded, and ready to connect with her people in a whole new way.
But the best part? (And I really do mean THE BEST part?)
She now has a brand that truly shows who she is and what she stands for in her community. Plus, she can rep this brand identity across her whole business with total confidence!
This project went way beyond just making a pretty brand (though we definitely nailed that too 😉). At the core, we were really building a foundation for Asma’s big-picture vision.
I mean, we’re talking about someone who’s not only crushing it as a stylist but has literally been featured in academic papers (still not over how freakin cool that is!!). She needed a brand that could keep up with her journey from exceptional stylist to total industry leader.
Here’s what I love most about this project—it’s personal branding done right. You know, that sweet spot where you’re 100% yourself but also stepping into your future self?
That’s exactly what we created for Asma. Her brand feels so authentically her, highlighting her passions, cultural background and killer expertise while positioning her as the industry leader she truly is.
And now?
Whether you’re scrolling through her website or meeting her for coffee, you get that same wonderful Asma energy—that perfect mix of warmth and sophistication that makes her such an incredible stylist and just an all-around awesome human if I do say so myself (like seriously she’s so smart, kind, thoughtful—I’m so grateful to have been able to support her in this way).
If you’re a personal stylist, remember that your brand deserves the same thoughtful attention you give your clients’ wardrobes. Your unique perspective, whether it’s serving a specific community like Asma does, or bringing your own special approach to styling, can become your brand’s greatest strength.Ready to create something that truly captures your expertise and connects with your ideal clients?
